Dashney Compensation Request

M. Dashney requested compensation for water filters at the March 19, 2019 meeting. At that time, Council requested further review of the situation with Public Works and updates on the status of the situation.

2018 Annual Notification to Consumers

Water Security Agency and Ministry of Environment require waterworks owners to provide annual notification to consumers of the quality of water produced and supplied. The following is a summary of the Town of Wadena's water quality and sample submission compliance record for 2018.

10.I.

Waterworks Management Bylaw Amendment

A draft amendment to Bylaw 2018-16 is attached for consideration based on feedback from the Town's solicitor.

The language relating to the guarantee of specific pressure or continuous supply of water has been removed and the liability language has been scaled back. Section 340 of The Municipalities Act deals with liability and provides the Town with protection against claims due to the interruption of service, so it is best to rely on the legislative protections.

Discretionary Use - Fara Hals-Pinfold

A home occupation application is before Council for discretionary use consideration.

Meter Reading Estimates

Administration has prepared a report regarding the billing of water accounts that have been estimated for a considerable period of time.

Town & Country Fair - Request for Temporary Road Closure

A verbal request was received from Councillor Sobchyshyn on behalf of the Town & Country Fair Board for a temporary road closure to accommodate their parade on Aug 31, 2019. The parade route is as follows:
